Dear Carol & family: My thoughts and
prayers go out to you during your loss.
Gene was a wonderful Christian and always thinking of others. I worked at
Encore and enjoyed his smile and playing
scrabble with him. Will miss his wonderful music. Jan

A patient and creative man, Gene has always been an amazing Grandfather, and a gifted man. Dedication to music and an interest in new instruments is what I will always remember about him. Sitting at his home with Grandma, we listened to the Dulcimer and watched him teach my sister to play. He also had a vast vocabulary, and always won at balderdash and boggle – hands down. His time with me and my family will always be a pleasant memory.

What a special, kind, loving, peaceful soul I had for a Godfather. Heaven is full of beautiful music with you at the keys.

Beloved Father-in-law. Who can forget his love of puns and licorice jelly beans? I have many good memories, especially from the time be spent with us. I would go down at night to settle him for bed. Sometimes we would play Quiddler, but there was always time for Scripture and prayer. One time he proposed reading through Proverbs. When we got to Chapter 31, he suggested memorizing the Hebrew alphabet - and made it fun! I will remember him when gardening and especially his love of birds. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
