Brother-in-law of Charles (Grace), Mike (Lynn), and the late Robert (Carol) Pearce. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Charles proudly served as a UAW Union Representative, was a proud member of Local 653, and retired after 28 years of service with General Motors. Meissner; Dearest and loving mother of Marilyn Fessler-Meissner and John (Lynn) Meissner; Dear sister of Richard (Pauline) Hubbard; Devoted and sweetest grandmother to Elizabeth (Mike) Smith, Robert (Melissa) Fessler, Katherine (Duane) Thomas, Jennifer Meissner and Kristine Scott; Also cherished by 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Meissner was a long time member of Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church. She was born April 14, 1911 in Defiance, Ohio to the late William and Elizabeth Hubbard and was just 55 days shy of her 101st birthday. She dedicated her time lovingly to her family, the veterans, local libraries, her political party, her love of country and community. She was God’s loyal servant to the end. Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church, 1340 West Long Lake Road, Bloomfield Hills. Officiating Reverend Dr. Norman M. Pritchard. The family will receive family and friends Wednesday 2 to 8 p.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford and at the church on Thursday after 12:30 p.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
